Thisfull-timeposition has the opportunity to operate out of our West Springfield and Pittsfield office. The Assistant Director of Community Centered Family Support works collaboratively with the Program Director and provides supervision and leadership necessary to promote the professional growth of the team; motivate and support the team; and participate in family support work to achieve positive outcomes for children, youth, and families.
To be a good fit for this position you will:
- Work collaboratively with the Director across all areas of the program.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to child development, permanency and trauma-informed care to collaborate with state agencies, hospitals, schools and community programs in efforts to support parents, families and children and youth at various stages of family function.
- Support the Director in accordance with funding sources; regulatory requirements; and the mission, strategy, and goals of 18 Degrees – for maintaining program and fiscal operations (budgeting and billing, overseeing staff, and acting as a leader in program development).
- Assist the Director to build relationships throughout Western Mass with various Family Resource Centers, Substance Abuse treatment and peer support facilities and other partners as determined.
- Set performance expectations, encourage professional development of assigned Family Support & Peer Support Workers and interns in weekly supervision and regular team meetings, and conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Participate in and report relevant information from internal and external committees, team meetings, and community events.
- Perform data entry into the agency demographics and CRM database, ensuring staff data entries are kept current and accurate.
Qualification Requirements:
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years experience; Master's Degree preferred.
Experience: Experience providing services to families and children, through direct work; providing direct supervision to staff and administrative experience. Current knowledge of child development and child welfare systems.
